Ruth Chang
I am a philosopher at Rutgers University, New
Brunswick. Before arriving at Rutgers, I
spent three years as a Junior Research Fellow at Balliol College,
Oxford where
I was also completing my dissertation.
My graduate studies in England included two teaching stints in
the U.S.,
one as a visiting assistant professor in the philosophy department at
the
University of California, Los Angeles (1993-94) and the other as a
visiting
assistant professor of law at the University of Chicago Law School
(1995-96). Before my life as a
philosopher, I worked as a law associate on a (pro bono) death penalty
case and
several (non pro bono) product liability cases.
I have a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an A.B. from Dartmouth
College.
