The Rutgers University Center for Philosophy and the Sciences was founded in 2005 with the help of a grant from the Rutgers Academic Excellence Fund. The Center encourages interdisciplinary research and teaching concerning foundational and philosophical issues in the various sciences. Affiliated faculty work in the philosophy of mathematics, philosophy of physics, philosophy of biology, philosophy of psychology, the nature of chance, and the metaphysics and epistemology of the sciences.
